Business Development Manager OEM Asia

Ref.  J197/WW/C0141/2025
- A hunter role – build OEM partnerships from zero.
- License-led sales with factory owners, CEOs, and GMs.
- High autonomy, Asia-wide mandate, real revenue impact.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager – OEM to join a UK-based materials company, driving new business growth across Asia through an OEM-led, licensing-focused sales model. This is a pure new-business role, centered on identifying, qualifying, and converting OEMs into long-term manufacturing partners, enabling proprietary materials and technologies to be integrated directly at source and scaled through existing brand supply chains.

This role is suited to someone who is naturally proactive and commercially sharp — a true hunter who researches factories before visiting them, understands which OEMs already supply premium brands, and can quickly assess both commercial and technical fit. Success comes from solution-based selling, strong licensing discipline, and the ability to influence OEM leadership and brand stakeholders within a triangular OEM–Brand–Licensor model.

You will own the OEM sales cycle end to end: prospecting, pitching, factory audits, licensing alignment, and brand approval. The role involves frequent factory visits and senior-level negotiations with owners, CEOs, and general managers, alongside close collaboration with product development, sales support, and supply chain teams to enable trials, manufacturing readiness, and seamless integration at source. Maintaining control over licensing compliance, brand presentation, and global marketing approvals is a core part of the role.

This opportunity suits a BDM or OEM sales professional with 5+ years of proven new-business success in APAC, ideally within licensing, advanced materials, components, or technology-driven manufacturing environments. Experience selling licensed materials or solutions to OEMs or brands is highly advantageous, with exposure to sport, outdoor, consumer electronics, two-wheel, or accessories sectors preferred.

You are highly organized, systematic, and commercially driven, with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chains. You are comfortable engaging at owner, CEO, or GM level, operate independently, and thrive in roles with autonomy and accountability. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required (Cantonese a plus). The role is based onsite in Dongguan, China, with extensive travel across Asia.

If this aligns with your background and you are open to a confidential discussion, we invite you to apply or reach out directly to explore the opportunity further.
